Crystals and the full moon go together like abalone shells and smudge bundles. The full moon is a good time to cleanse and charge your working crystals, and it is super easy to do. Simply place your stones outside under the moonlight (or, if weather does not permit, place them on your windowsill or someplace where they will get a moonbath.) The full moon lasts for a period of three days, so you have a wide window of opportunity. You crystals will absorb the energy and hold the charge throughout the lunar cycle.

Remember that the energy will be on theme to the specific lunar transit (i.e. Pisces Full Moon carries themes of unity, spirituality, spiritual healing, psychic and intuitive abilities, etc…)

Selenite
Selenite is a great stone to work with on the full moon. After all, it gets its name from the Greek moon Goddess, Selene. Selenite easily moves energy and is perfect for projecting your intentions during a full moon ritual. It’s got a nice vibration to it and is good for connecting to the wisdom of your higher chakras (transpersonal chakras and the crown and third eye chakras.) Meditating while holding a piece of selenite (in your receiving hand) during your full moon circle is a great way to access these portals.

If you want to explore your intuitive abilities, selenite is a great stone to keep on you. Wear it in a pouch for the three day period of the full moon energies and be sure to record in your diary any synchronicities you experience.

Use your selenite wand to clear discordant vibes from a space, or to move energy through the energy body. This can be done in the same way you would smudge someone or something, only you are not lighting anything on fire but are simply passing your selenite wand over the area you wish to energetically cleanse.

Add selenite to your paint and keep your room fresh. This works especially well for readers and psychics, healers and just where ever you want to amplify your positive vibes.

Just remember that selenite has a mohs hardness rating of 2, which means it can dissolve in water, so do be mindful of that in how you choose to use it.
